eBay Motors, the largest online marketplace for buying and selling all things automotive, is launching its annual People’s Picks sweepstakes on September 10, 2012.
Now in its third year, People’s Picks gives auto lovers a platform to voice their opinions on the very best from vehicles to parts and accessories, sparring against other car fans to settle some of the most notorious automotive rivalries. In addition to ensuring their favorite brands are victorious, participants are entered for a chance to win $10,000, a trip to the Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) Show in Las Vegas, and weekly cash and prize drawings.
“We know that auto fans have strong opinions when it comes to the vehicles and parts they love, and the People’s Picks competition provides them with the perfect arena to share their views,” said Kristine *** Head of eBay Motors. “People’s Picks reflects the passion of the auto community, something we fuel every day on eBay Motors. And it’s a great way to gauge which brands, vehicles and modifications are popular today, straight from the fans.”
Fans can vote online – and via mobile – on a variety of categories: Muscle Cars, Imports, New Cars, Trucks, Off-Road, Modifications, Classic Cars, Motorcycles, Hybrids and Race Cars. Each category will have ten vehicles or parts and accessories-related questions.
Participants can see how their favorite brands are faring throughout the competition, with live voting results avialble for reach question. They can also easily shop for the top picks in the various categories.This year, People’s Picks also added ten “Title Match” questions, as a showdown between brands. The brands that win will receive an award at SEMA , as well as a day of free advertising on the eBay Motors site. Fans are also invited to voice their opinions further on the eBay Motors blog by submitting “write in” candidates for next year’s competition.
