The Petersen Automotive Museum will provide free admission to active military and their families as a way to thank those who protect our country. The museum participated in the Blue Star Program this summer, which provided free admission to active military at participating museums nationwide.
Recognizing the importance of honoring this nation’s servicemen and women, the Petersen Museum decided to continue the offer indefinitely. “So many brave men and women risk their lives every day to protect our freedom,” said Terry Karges, Petersen Executive Director, “we felt it was important to give something back to those who have served.” Active military members or their spouses can bring their current military ID to the Petersen Automotive Museum and receive admission for up to 2 additional adult family members and 2 children.
Visitors to the museum will experience how American life & culture has been shaped around the automobile. Current exhibits include Sculpture In Motion: Masterpieces of Italian Design and Aerodynamics: From Art to Science. Other exhibits featured in the museum include Alternative Power, Hot Wheels Hall of Fame, Hollywood Star Cars, Streetscape, and more.
