Do you drive your Corvette or fly to your destination? That is the question.

To answer it, the folks at www.befrugal.com have come up with the Fly or Drive Calculator, which shows side-by-side the cost of flying vs. driving your Corvette.

The calculator allows you to input your Corvette model and engine size for all years from '79 through '11, and then calculates the cost of your road trip, based upon the answers you provide to a series of questions.

We tried the calculator out for a '99 Corvette and picked a starting and ending destination for a two-person trip.

Flying may be faster, but the Corvette road trip was less expensive, and it had a greener footprint (based on CO2 impact).
