RM Auctions, the world’s largest collector car auction house, makes an exciting return to Phoenix in January for its annual Automobiles of Arizona sale, presenting one of the most diverse offerings of motor cars ever featured in the event’s 12 year history.
 

Staged at the prestigious Arizona Biltmore Resort & Spa, January 20 – 21, 2011, the two-day auction will showcase over 160 automobiles spanning the spectrum of the collector car market, from important sports and racing cars, through to Detroit muscle, the best of American and European classics, and a series of wild customs and show cars.
 
Headlining the long list of notable early entries are no less than nine Corvettes, including a pair of fully-documented ’67 Corvette Roadsters from the personal collection of Baseball Hall of Famer, Mr. Reggie Jackson. On offer is Jackson’s triple black, four-speed, numbers matching ‘67 Chevrolet Corvette 427/435hp Roadster. A great illustration of the enduring legend of America’s Sports Car, this example is a former NCRS Top Flight Award winner. (Est. $140,000 - $170,000). Also on offer from the Jackson collection is a restored ’67 Corvette 427/400hp Roadster (Est. $90,000 - $120,000). Handsomely finished in Marlboro Maroon with a black hood ‘stinger’ and white interior, it is highly equipped with an L68 “Tri-Power” 427 V8 as well as factory-installed air conditioning, an AM/FM radio, power brakes and steering and rally wheels (Est. $90,000 - $120,000).
 
Other Corvettes set for RM’s Arizona auction podium include:  a trio of Corvette Roadsters (one from 1954, 1955 and 1956) from the Peterson Early Corvette Collection; a 1954 Chevrolet Corvette Roadster, one of only two “Bubble Tops” known to exist; a 1957 Chevrolet Corvette Fuel-Injected Roadster; and a  multiple-award-winning 1956 Chevrolet Corvette Roadster among others.
