Gilroy, California, a tiny farming community outside of San Jose, California, is the Garlic Capital of the United States. But recently, it was one of the town's resident's Corvette that made Gilroy famous for a day.
According to various news sources, a 75-year-old man drove his '07 Corvette to the town's Wal-Mart. Once near the front of the store, he claimed the Corvette suddenly accelerated ( perhaps he heard the excuse works well with Toyota Prius) and the Corvette responded by jumping a curb, performing a gymnastic move usually reserved for Olympic athletes, and resting its front wheels on a long-line of shopping carts. Neither he nor his passenger were seriously injured.
