The new Katech Carbon Fiber Front Splitter, Undertray and Brake Duct Kit (part # KAT-A4979) includes the Katech Carbon Fiber Front Splitter combined with a full-length undertray extending to the radiator.  New carbon fiber brake ducts draw air from the front of the splitter and direct it to the braking system.
     
Designed to fit the C6 Corvette Z06, ZR1 or Grand Sport models, the kit is easy to install due to its four-piece design.  No drilling is required and all stainless steel hardware is included.
     
Katech wind tunnel testing shows that, when installed, the kit eliminates high speed front end lift found on the stock C6 Z06 and brings it into the negative (downforce) that racers desire.  When used in combination with Katech side skirts and rear spoiler, aerodynamic balance is achieved to near perfection.  Rather than trying to pull air from the bottom of the vehicle like a stock car set-up, Katech engineered the kit's brake cooler inlet as a direct path from the front of the vehicle.  Again, wind tunnel smoke testing illustrates this design provides an effective way of getting air to the brake system without causing front end lift.
