Isn't it time to get you and your high-performance car on the same page? Track Guys Performance Driving Events can help you develop the skills you'll need to get the most out of both your car and it's driver.

Track Guys Performance Driving Events still has several events scheduled for 2009.

August 31 & Sept 1 – Mosport International Raceway, Bowmanville, Ontario, Canada
Sept 12 & 13 - Hallett Motor Racing Circuit, Hallett, OK
Sept 19 & 20 – Bluegrass Motorsports Park, Sparta, KY

Track Guys events are open to all makes and models of cars (sorry, no 4x4 trucks or SUVs). "Any car can be driven well," says Jeff Lacina, Track Guys owner and lead instructor. "It really isn't about what you drive as much as it is how you drive what you've got. Especially when you're starting out, technique is much more important than technology."

Students are encouraged to drive at their own pace, developing their skills over the course of two days of learning and driving fun. Bottom line: Track Guys Performance Driving Events can help you become a better, safer and smoother driver, both on the track and on the street. "Men or women, young or old, it really doesn't matter. When it comes to getting the most out of you and you're car, you're never too old to learn new skills or brush up on proper driving techniques," explains Lacina. "We have fathers and sons and mothers and daughters come out for fun and to learn some very valuable driving skills...not to mention have a great time learning together."

Cost for the most Track Guys events are $250 to $300 for two full days on track. You will get two very full days of classroom and in-car instruction, as well as the opportunity to go for "hot lap" rides with their talented and enthusiastic instructors.

Mark Bettin Memorial Track Event
Track Guys has announced that the Sept 12 & 13 Hallett Motor Racing Circuit event will be dedicated to Mark Bettin, a long-time Track Guys instructor who recently died from serious injuries sustained in a bicycling accident. Bettin had worked as a Track Guys in-car instructors for numerous events. “We have no doubt that Mark would have been instructing at this event, so, even if he isn’t with us in person, he will most certainly be with us in spirit,” says Lacina. “And as a group, we will be doing something in Mark’s memory at the track.”

Track Guys will be dedicating the raffle proceeds to Mark’s widow, Lisa; cash gifts will also be accepted. Track Guys will also give any event proceeds above the costs of the event to Lisa. And as a group, we will be doing something special at the track in Mark’s name. Please sign up, tell your friends and come out to Hallett to help us celebrate Mark’s life and passion for “going fast on the track.”
