Katech Introduces ClubSport Exhaust for Z06 and ZR1 Corvettes

Katech Performance now offers its ClubSport Exhaust System for the C6 Corvette Z06 or ZR1 and base with NPP exhaust.

The ClubSport Exhaust System, when combined with an X-pipe, is designed to shave 30 lbs. off the stock exhaust while adding a deep, aggressive tone.  Using the factory exhaust baffle system to turn off one side of the exhaust during low RPM cruising, the ClubSport Exhaust technology cancels out low-RPM sound waves that cause drone.  The result is a deep, racecar-like sound at high RPM while maintaining idle volume at moderate levels.

"Our ClubSport Exhaust is designed for cars with factory manifolds, catalysts and stock engine internals, so modified engines with aftermarket headers and catalysts will likely produce a louder tone," said Jason Harding, director of aftermarket operations, Katech Performance.  "At 3500 RPM, the baffle system opens and the exhaust rumbles through high flowing, ultra-light Burns Stainless mufflers and exits out of quality CORSA tips to finish off the system."

Katech's ClubSport Exhaust kit includes two over-axle pipes, two ClubSport mufflers with CORSA quad tips, and an installation kit with a hose and clamps.  The system retails for $1,899.99.  An X-pipe is required but sold separately.

The lightweight Corvette Z06 ClubSport package - available exclusively from Katech Performance and Les Stanford Chevrolet (Dearborn, Mich.) - incorporates an array of aftermarket products that, in unison, reduce curb weight to 2,915 lbs. (2,825 lbs. fully optimized) while improving grip, cornering, braking and downforce.
