We've made progress on our C3 project car, and have enjoyed driving it some locally. Where do you take your classic Corvette?

Any time we get a new project, especially an older car, we like to look it over well before taking it too far from home. There's always the chance that an older car hasn't been maintained properly, or even worse has been maintained by a sub-standard mechanic, which could lead to problems.

Fortunately, our latest project car checked out pretty good, only needing minor maintenance and servicing to be road worthy, so we've been driving it pretty regularly lately. Of course we started off driving it around the block, then on quick trips to the store and other close locations to build our confidence, and as we find the car runs well we'll drive it further. So far the car hasn't exhibited any bad manners, it runs cool and the oil pressure stays high, so driving it the 60 mile round trip to and from the office hasn't been a problem. In fact, it's been quite fun.

Instead of taking Interstates, it's more fun in this car to take windy back roads. Leave us a comment below and tell us where you like to drive your Vette!
