With the deadline for GM to deliver a long-term-viability plan drawing near, everyone seems to have a theory regarding what this plan will involve.

One of the more plausible scenarios envisions the General dumping its most toxic liabilities into Saturn and Hummer, then winding down or selling off these brands. What do you think of this strategy? Do slow-selling marques such as Saturn, Hummer, and Saab deserve to be kept on corporate life support, or should GM axe them to free up funding for better-performing brands like Chevy and Buick?
