Shades of C3

painting your Corvette, paint and body work, picking a car color

After seeing this '09 Corvette on the road, I'm tempted to paint our latest project the same color. What other colors should I consider for this C3?

Seeing this '09 Vette on the road, I immediately fell in love with the color, which I discovered is called "Cyber Gray". I've always been a fan of silvers, greys, gunmetal greys, and charcoal colors, so I thought maybe Cyber Gray would look good on our latest project, a C3 coupe.

Other colors that look good on C3s are blues, and of course red or silver, but for right now I'm leaning toward Cyber Gray. Let us know what color you think we should paint this car, and be sure to put pictures of your C3s in our readers rides section so we can check them out.

2. Hmm, it should be a color to suit the car's owner. Bile green perhaps?

What color to paint? I guess the first decision is if you want to go with a modern color or an original C3 color?

3. Body Off Resto Modding my 1975 Coupe (T-top) Corvette. The numbers did not match when I purchased it and it had been sitting in a field with a tarp on it for years. It sat in my garage for 4 years and based upon the fact that the numbers did not match, even if they did it was going to have 168 (?) HP Based on the VIN - and the 75 does not bring a good (I am being very kind) return on the investment, I finally decided to resto-mod the car. All items will be new from the tip of the nose to the tail pipes. Currently, the frame has been sanded/painted (Black), Fuel Tank (Sending unit lines/hoses replaced), Brakes Rotors Shaved -(Calipers -painted Red/Lines/Hoses replaced), Rotors Shaved, Major Suspension Rebuild Kit added. The motor, best we can determine, is a 350 out of a 1969 Vette. It has been bored 30/30 the crank 10/10 and we have added Patriot Heads. It has a Street Eliminator Intake, 750 CFM Holley Carb. It has a Griffin Aluminum Radiator and Chrome Dual 11 inch Electric Cooling Fans. We will soon be painiting the body which has been stripped of it's original (sad looking) old White paint and its Ox Blood (maroon) interior. So.... that is the basis for this loooooong Post. Sorry...I am considering painting the car a PEARL WHITE, similar to that of the Cadillac Escalade and/or the newer Lexus Models and putting in a Sand or Tan/Saddle colored interior.....Looking for any thoughts on the Paint and Interior as it differs from the Typical/Standard Corvette? 6. I personally think that the 2011 Chevy Blue is an awsom color for any C3 Vette.Also there wouldnt be very many at all on the road.Isnt that what its all about,being one of a very few so that it stands out?
