According to unofficial reports, the upcoming Nissan GT-R Spec V is capable of lapping the Nurburging Nordschleife in just 7 minutes, 25 seconds.
Conveniently enough, that's just 1 second quicker than the lap time recently recorded by GM test engineer Jim Mero behind the wheel of an '09 ZR1. Given that the Spec V model is just 40hp stronger than the standard GT-R--which could do no better than 7:38 on the 'Ring--we're going to have to take a wait-and-see posture on this one.
Think maybe that "V" stands for "Very ambitious"?
