A recently released video of the 638hp ZR1 undergoing high-speed testing shows the car topping out at around 206 mph.

As impressive as that sounds, it's only 8 mph higher than the terminal velocity of the considerably less powerful Z06. Given the new car's output and revised bodywork, we would have thought it capable of 210+.

Could it be that all those stability-enhancing skirts and slats actually cost the car a few mph in top speed? Or is the test-track film not an accurate indication of the ZR1's true capabilities? What do you think?
