Do auctions affect real-world pricing?
The first regular-production '09 ZR1 was recently auctioned for a cool one million dollars. Some early-production '90 ZR-1s went for nearly twice their original sticker price, thanks to speculative buying among neophyte collectors. Could we see the same thing happen with the new version, and, if so, are televised "celebrity" auctions like this one partly to blame?
