Pop-up Headlights - Time for a return?

With the C7 around the corner, is it time for the traditional pop-up headlights to return to the Corvette?

Yes, we know, the C1s had fixed headlights, but C2 - C5 all had pop-ups, and that feature came to be a major Vette trademark. Should GM bring them back when the C7 comes out?

1. I've been a Corvette guy for 20 years and I love our current C6. Pop ups are just another complication we do not need and they limit the amount of light the car can carry ! Stay with the fixed headlights, just find a way to focus the same amount of candlepower without the irritating "blue" tones !

2. c-6 headlights just missed. what they should do is put a cover over them and have the cover slide back into the hood when the lights are needed.

3. As A 25 Year Old, and Vette Guy,I Really Want The Pop-ups back Please!. The C-6's only weak point is the headlights. the rear is the only reminder of what it is.
Please bring the popups. Just Like the Taillights it is a Corvette TM. And for it to look mean, yet beautiful. not so sophisticated.

4. I would like the headlights to remain fixed, but not dilated!
GM could create a more distinctive look (a viper? NO) that says "vette" without adding one more part to maintain/breakdown/rebuild/replace...
