LS1 in a C4?

Has anyone seen a C4 with an LS1?

This question is popping up more and more, why has no one done an LS1 install into a C4? Has anyone out there seen a C4 with an LS engine? Is this a statement that no matter how good the LS engines are, you can still build a Gen 1/LT1/LT4 small block to make the same power for less?

1. Vette says they're gonna do it but so many projects have dropped the ball in the Corvette Enthusiast press as writers/editors move around that I'll be surprised if it is ever completed. The conversion is more than a little difficult and all of the LS-X projects attempted to date I've heard of have been quietly abandoned. I wish 'em luck and hope they follow through.
